Colin Webb

Co-Founder

While Colin was growing up, he and his Dad built decks. One on each new house as they moved around. By age 9, the fundamental seeds of doing things right the first time were sewn. After graduating from the University of Missouri and wandering a few different career paths, he met his future wife as her tenant in her South City Saint Louis rental business. One of her 100 year-old houses had never been renovated and he was certain he could upgrade it. Tools came alive in his hands again as he found himself tearing into the building and learning all the systems of a house. Colin's new career was evident, and to further his knowledge he began volunteering at Habitat for Humanity. After earning a position on the staff and building houses with Habitat for years, he left to learn high end remodeling with Portico Construction. At Portico, he quickly became a manager. With over a decade of remodeling and building experience, he made the decision point to strike out on his own and was only missing the right partner. Topping the short list was his mentor from Habitat, Sean DePass, who excitedly agreed to join the venture.

Sean DePass

Co- Founder

When Sean was young, his dad owned a hanger at Creve Coeur Airport which flooded in the 1993 floods.  During the clean up his dad hired Sean to hand dig a ditch along the side of the hanger, making the claim that it was to help guarantee that Sean would not go into a career that required manual labor.  Things didn't really work out the way his dad envisioned them. Sean's love for construction was sparked by volunteering for Habitat for Humanity in high school.  He went on 3 spring break builds with Habitat in college and continued to volunteer with them regularly thereafter.  During this time he also regularly visited his grandfather who taught him the basics of woodworking.  Many years and construction projects later, Sean found his way to the North Bennet Street School.  There he refined his skills in fine furniture and cabinet making.  This education was not just about the technical skills, but helped him to fully appreciate what it means to be precise and do high quality work.  He has found these traits to be applicable to all areas of his life.  Upon returning to St. Louis, Sean took a full time job working for Habitat for Humanity St. Louis where he worked for 7 years.  At Habitat, he developed invaluable skills in project and personnel management.  He also met his future business partner, Colin Webb.

Dave Dragoo

Carpenter

Dave has a passion for all things artfully made by hands.  Music flows from his guitars and the grapes he hand selects to eventually become wine.  After growing up in Mexico, Missouri he attended the University of Missouri where he graduated with a degree in winemaking in 2012.  Dave worked in various Missouri vineyards and wineries through college and after, eventually ending up in the cocktail and restaurant world in Saint Louis.

Dave joined Rosette at the very beginning of the 2020 pandemic as our first full time apprentice carpenter.  Always appreciating the hand-crafted, he found that building kitchens in people's homes could be as rewarding as working in them.  He is always learning, working hard and keeping the job sites in top shape.

Joe Brown

Carpenter

Joe earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.  He had a long and successful career at Anheuser Busch as a project manager overseeing the engineering of the electrical portions of the new brewery bottling lines.  After he retired in 2016 and became a regular volunteer at Habitat for Humanity St. Louis, where he met Sean and Colin.

Not content to just volunteer at Habitat multiple days a week, when Colin bought a new home Joe volunteered to help him remodel it.  Joe was so crucial to this process that Colin was determined to find a way to get him involved when he and Sean started Rosette.

Joe has an incredible work ethic and eye for detail that elevates every aspect of our builds.  Additionally, Joe is a huge help before our projects even begin assisting with both the structural drawings and project development.  Whenever Joe is involved in a project, things go more smoothly.
